Scott and Jenna, along with their three children (McKinley, Harrison and Ellison), farm with Scott’s dad and brother. They also have a custom chicken litter spreading business. They grow 1750 acres of corn and soybeans, and cover 11,000 acres with manure through their business. As a hobby, Scott and Jenna also have a small beef cattle herd. They raise Simmental cattle for their children to show in 4-H.
Jenna will finish her Master’s Degree in Special Education this December to better serve the students she works with in the local school system. She volunteers as a teacher mentor for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and coordinates the “Special Ed Prom," collecting dresses and helping students get their hair and makeup done for the big event.
Scott also is strongly involved in the community, serving as a 4-H leader and fair board member. Both Scott and Jenna participate in their church through Bible study and other activities with their children.
The Burtons represent members in Allen, Elkhart, DeKalb, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben and Whitley counties.
