Layne and Taylor Koester are high school sweethearts who reside in Posey County, with their daughter Rowan, near Layne’s family farm. Layne along with his father, uncles, and cousins, operates Koester Brothers Dairy. The Koesters operate a robotic dairy where they milk around 200 Holstein cows. The family also grows corn, soybeans, and wheat.

In addition to helping with the family farm, Layne works full-time for Diversified Crop Insurance Services as an adjuster servicing southwestern Indiana. He was a 10 year 4-H member and continues to volunteer at his county fair, where he enjoys helping Rowan show her dairy calves. Layne is also involved in the Knights of St. John were he serves as a trustee on the board of directors for his local Commandery.
Taylor graduated from nursing school in December 2019, and has accepted a position with Deaconess Women’s Hospital.
