The program will include $100 million for affordable high-speed broadband in rural areas, which has been one of Farm Bureau's legislative priorities for several years. Neal and Lydia Wolheter of LaGrange County were named the Young Farmer Achievement Award winners. Both couples will compete for the national award in their respective categories.

Close to 5,000 people participated in Indiana Farm Bureau's three-day tasting and educational event, Taste from Indiana Farms at the 2018 Indiana State Fair. INFB Second VP Isabella Chism said that the event affords a face-to-face, two-way educational opportunity for non-ag consumers and farmers. One of this year's VIP groups included Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and ag program students from urban schools.
