Indiana Farm Bureau brought together around 250 Indiana farmers and agriculture industry partners today for the organization’s first Critical Issues Summit. Focused on advancing agriculture in a changing world, the event was held at the Embassy Suites in Noblesville, Indiana.

Indiana Farm Bureau’s Chief Economist Dr. Todd Davis is offering up his insights on the latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report released earlier this afternoon by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Indiana Farm Bureau, the state’s largest general farming organization, will once again support agriculture at the Indiana State Fair through sponsored events and programming focused on youth engagement and educating consumers about locally grown foods.

Registration is open for Indiana Farm Bureau’s annual Drainage School, which provides an understanding of the laws and regulations impacting drainage decisions in Indiana. The workshop will be presented both virtually and in person at INFB headquarters in Indianapolis. The program will take place Tuesday, Aug. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET.

Indiana shoppers will see slightly higher prices than last year as they prepare for their Fourth of July cookout. Indiana Farm Bureau’s annual summer cookout market basket revealed Hoosiers are paying an average of $71.49 for a cookout feeding 10 people this summer, or $7.15 per person – a 5% increase compared to last year.
