If you're a farmer, student or ag professional 40 years of age or younger, you know the future of farming depends on your strong voices, fresh ideas and bold leadership. But stepping into leadership and finding your place in Indiana agriculture can feel overwhelming.

 

That’s where Indiana Farm Bureau comes in.

 

Through our Young Farmers & Ag Professionals (YF&AP) program, we help you:

  • Develop leadership skills through hands-on opportunities and competitions.
  • Build your network with peers across Indiana and nationwide.
  • Gain recognition for your hard work and innovative ideas.
  • Learn about the breadth and depth of agriculture. 
  • Have fun while making a lasting impact on agriculture.

For students passionate about agriculture, Collegiate Farm Bureau offers career development, service projects, scholarships, and professional networking. It's more than a student group - it's your launchpad into agricultural leadership with a lasting impact.

Meet the State Committee

A two-year opportunity to represent your district and serve on the State YF&AP Committee. You'll gain state and national networking, leadership training, and travel experiences that expand your impact beyond the farm or office. You'll also coordinate district YF&AP events.

Ag Literacy Challenge Grant

Indiana Farm Bureau's Ag Literacy Challenge Grant provides up to $1,000 for Indiana FFA chapters and 4-H clubs that want to launch or expand ag literacy programs in their communities. These projects create stronger connections between farmers, students and leaders.

Across the state, different group's activities range from hosting pedal tractor pulls, cattle shows, 4-H and FFA mentoring and county fair initiatives to baseball games, educational trips and farm safety training.

    The American Farm Bureau Federation's Young Farmers & Ranchers Leadership Conference brings together members to learn, share and grow together to build a stronger Farm Bureau organization. The opportunities at the conference include networking with peers, industry leaders and subject matter experts from around the country.
