Indiana Farm Bureau Health Plans, a suite of affordable health care offerings sponsored by Indiana Farm Bureau, are now available. The health plans include Individual and Family Plans, Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans and dental/vision coverage.

Indiana Farm Bureau member delegates met virtually on Saturday, Aug. 29 to determine the policy positions of the organization for 2021. The delegate body consisted of 233 farmers and agribusiness professionals from across the state.

Indiana Farm Bureau will launch a new Agriculture in the Classroom program this fall called “Adopt a Classroom.” This volunteer-driven program allows INFB to continue educating Indiana’s school children about agriculture despite adjustments to school programs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Indiana Farm Bureau’s public policy team will host a webinar about price risk management on Sept. 9, 2020 from 8-9:30 a.m. The webinar, open to INFB members only, will feature an ag economy update from the American Farm Bureau Federation followed by a presentation from StoneX (formerly INTL FCStone).

Registration is now open for Indiana Farm Bureau’s annual Drainage School. To ensure the safety of attendees, this year’s event will be hosted virtually, via the online video conference platform, Zoom. Farmers, public officials, agency personnel and attorneys are encouraged to attend, August 26 from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

Finalists have been selected for Indiana Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer awards – the Excellence in Agriculture Award and the Achievement Award. These state awards are conducted as a part of the American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers and Ranchers Award competition.

Indiana Farm Bureau welcomed Patrick Williams to its staff as Health Plans manager. In this new role, Williams will oversee the launch of INFB’s forthcoming Health Plans, including development and training, and execution of the plans once available.

This June, INFB will host three educator workshops across the state. The workshops are for Agriculture in the Classroom volunteers and any interested teachers. Ag in the Classroom is a program led by INFB which helps bring agriculture education into Indiana’s schools.

In response to the economic strain caused by COVID-19, Indiana Farm Bureau has donated $5,000 to Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Inc. to help provide food to those affected by this pandemic.

Indiana Farm Bureau launched a new mobile app this week which provides its members with quick, convenient access to its many resources. The new mobile app features access to membership information, event details and member benefits.
