Taste From Indiana Farms moves to a new location for 2023

May 22, 2023, 11:22 AM by Kathleen M. Dutro, INFB Marketing Team

Taste From Indiana Farms, an annual event sponsored by the Indiana Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee, will return for the 2023 Indiana State Fair, and members are invited to volunteer for this consumer-focused event.

The event will be held at a new location and with a new schedule: Thursday, Aug. 10, through Sunday, Aug. 13, at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion. The hours for all four days will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Shifts for volunteers will run from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Each volunteer will receive one admission ticket to the state fair, a meal voucher that can be redeemed at the beef or pork tents plus a thank-you gift.

Each year, thousands of fairgoers line up to receive free food samples and learn a little bit about agriculture in the process. Volunteers will be distributing food samples, and a total of 18 volunteers are needed per shift.

If you are interested in volunteering, the link to register can be found here. Reach out to your district education and outreach coordinator with any additional questions or write to engagement@infb.org.
