May 1 is deadline to apply for YF&AP awards

Mar 31, 2022, 10:45 AM by Kathleen M. Dutro, INFB Marketing Team

Applications are now being accepted for two of Indiana Farm Bureau’s top awards for young farmers and ag professionals.

The application deadline for the awards is May 1 and both are open to INFB who will be between the ages of 18 and 35 as of Jan. 31, 2023.

YF&AP Achievement Award

This award recognizes young INFB members who earn the majority of their income from production agriculture. The prize package, courtesy of Bane Welker Equipment and Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, totals $11,000.

Excellence in Agriculture Award

This award honors members who don’t receive most of their income from a farm that they own but who actively contribute and grow their involvement in Farm Bureau and agriculture. The prize package also totals $11,000, courtesy of Farm Credit Mid-America and Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.

The winners of both prizes also will earn a trip to the American Farm Bureau Federation convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Jan. 6-11, 2023.

For more information or to apply, visit the YF&AP “ Awards and Competitions” section of INFB’s website. You also can contact Brandon Rice, INFB leadership development coordinator, or your regional manager.
