Indiana Farm Bureau provides educational materials and guest presenters to help schools and not-for-profit organizations train others on the impact agriculture has in their communities.
The goal of the Indiana Farm Bureau Book of the Year program is to provide Indiana county Farm Bureaus and Agriculture in the Classroom volunteers with additional tools to promote agriculture literacy and further the mission of our Agriculture in the Classroom program.
Each year, the INFB Women’s Leadership Committee evaluates several books and sends three or four titles to the Book of the Year selection committee for consideration. The selection committee is made up of five experienced, enthusiastic Agriculture in the Classroom volunteers and educators. The selection committee uses a scoring rubric to evaluate each book received.
If you have a book you would like the committee to review, please reach out to one of the INFB Women’s Leadership Committee members or the INFB education coordinator.

The Indiana Ag Mag was written with a focus on third grade Indiana academic standards. Local community values are stressed within the third grade social studies standards of Indiana classrooms. Third grade students explore their own community by learning and identifying growing seasons and crops grown. These students begin to understand other communities in the state and the world through simple comparative studies. Agriculture provides itself as a common thread for students to link these communities together.
Learn more about Indiana agriculture commodities through a series of activities while solving a fun puzzle! Activities developed at the third grade, junior high, and high school levels.
