Indiana Farm Bureau offers its Young Farmers & Ag Professionals opportunities to participate in statewide activities. The goals of these events are to foster leadership development and recognize outstanding members.
A competitive event that simulates a committee meeting where participants exchange information and ideas to solve problems. Topics range from current challenges to future agricultural issues.
Recognizes Young Farmers & Ag Professionals who do not derive the majority of their income from a farming operation. Applicants are judged on their involvement in the agriculture industry, leadership, involvement and participation in Farm Bureau and other community organizations. Winner(s) receive a cash prize and an all-expenses paid trip to compete nationally.
Recognizes outstanding young farmers who derive the majority of their income from a farming operation. Applicants are judged on farm management techniques, future plans, leadership, and community involvement. Winner(s) receive a cash prize and an all-expenses paid trip to compete nationally.
Designed to recognize an outstanding individual or couple, who are members of Indiana Farm Bureau. The award recognizes young farmers and ag professionals who are active in Farm Bureau, their county, their community, Collegiate Farm Bureau and/or YF&AP programs; and display personal and professional growth by participating in those activities. Winner(s) receive a cash prize and an all-expenses paid trip to the AFBF YF&R Conference (or AFBF Fusion Conference on odd years).
Recognizes outstanding county Young Farmers & Ag Professionals programs for community outreach and involvement, award participation and local activities. The top overall county is awarded $1,000 to take back to their county Farm Bureau.
