Nappanee, Indiana, will host both the state and national corn husking championships next month. The dates for the contests are:

• Saturday, Oct. 4 – Indiana State Corn Husking Contest begins at 9 a.m.
• Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17 and 18 – National Corn Husking Contest. Friday will feature competitions for out-of-state huskers without a state contest of their own. The national contest gets underway at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
