Applications are now being accepted for the Indiana Farm Bureau Achievement, Excellence in Agriculture and Rising Star awards.
The application deadline is May 1 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
Achievement Award – Recognizes young INFB members who earn the majority of their income from production agriculture. Prize package: $11,000, courtesy of Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance and other generous sponsors. Two runners-up each will receive a $1,000 cash prize courtesy of Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.
Excellence in Agriculture Award – Honors members who don’t receive most of their income from a farm that they own but who actively contribute and grow their involvement in Farm Bureau and agriculture. Prize package: $11,000, courtesy of Farm Credit Mid-America and Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance. Two runners-up each will receive a $1,000 cash prize courtesy of Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.
The Achievement and Excellence in Agriculture awards are open to INFB members who will be between the ages of 18 and 35 as of Jan. 31, 2025. The winners of both prizes also will earn a trip to the American Farm Bureau Federation convention in San Antonio, Texas, Jan. 24-29, 2025.
Rising Star Award – Recognizes young farmers and ag professionals ages 18-30 who are active in Farm Bureau, their county, their community, Collegiate Farm Bureau or YF&AP programs. Prize package: Expenses-paid trip to the 2025 AFBF Young Farmers & Ranchers Conference (location TBD) and a $2,000 cash prize. Two runners-up each will receive a $500 cash prize.
