Indiana Farm Bureau is in the process of forming two new task forces that will consider emerging issues involving state and local tax reform and water.
The INFB board of directors authorized the two task forces in response to some of the discussions during INFB’s delegate session, as well as internal recommendations from counties. Still to be determined is who will make up the membership of the task forces. Any member who has interest or expertise in one of these areas is encouraged to contact Andy Tauer, INFB executive director of public policy.
Taxation is a perennial issue for Farm Bureau, but the focus for the water task force will be not only water quality but also water quantity. The idea behind the task forces is for INFB to be proactive by anticipating challenges and leading efforts to create positive results for agriculture.
