Members have been reaching out to Indiana Farm Bureau because of substantial increases in their tax bills or their new Notices of Assessment, according to the INFB public policy team.
In most cases, it's too late to appeal your 2023 property tax bills. However, the appeal deadline for taxes payable in 2024 is June 15, 2023.
For the 20 counties that didn’t meet the May 1 deadline last year, taxpayers will have until June 15, 2023, to appeal assessments for 2023 tax bills. These counties are Clay, Crawford, Daviess, Fayette, Floyd, Franklin, Gibson, Greene, Jefferson, Lake, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Martin, Orange, Owen, Perry, Spencer, Sullivan and Union.
