The application period opens Jan. 1 for L.E.A.D., Indiana Farm Bureau’s leadership development program.
L.E.A.D. (short for “Leadership-Education-Action-Development”) is intended for individuals interested in enhancing their leadership skills, building their professional network and understanding socioeconomic impacts on the agricultural industry.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of Indiana commodities and agricultural practices. These individuals should be committed to becoming more effective leaders at the local, state and national levels.
They also will learn about the diversity of Indiana agriculture through farm and industry tours as well as a visit to the Indiana Statehouse. An out-of-state trip also is part of the program’s curriculum to help participants learn about additional diverse agricultural industries and programs.
The cost for the program is $250 per person. To be eligible for the program, you must be a paid INFB member in good standing for at least 30 days.
More information on the program will be posted on INFB’s website in early December at www.infb.org/lead.
