Data collection begins this month across the U.S. for the 2022 Census of Agriculture.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) is the agency responsible for collecting the data. The Census of Agriculture is a complete count of U.S. farms and ranches and the people who operate them. Taken only once every five years, the survey looks at land use and ownership, operator characteristics, production practices, income and expenditures.
Be on the lookout for your online survey code in the mail this month. The deadline to respond is Feb. 2, 2023. More information can be found at www.nass.usda.gov/AgCensus.
