A series of virtual meetings hosted by Indiana Farm Bureau Health Plans are designed to help both members and non-members during the open enrollment period.
Scheduled for Nov. 9 and Nov. 30, both meetings will begin at 7 p.m. ET and will last about 20 minutes.
Each meeting will cover a plan overview, eligibility requirements, underwriting, benefits and premium examples. There will be time at the end of each meeting for questions.
There also is a section of INFB’s website that answers the most frequently asked questions about the program, www.infbhealthplans.com/about/FAQ.
Patrick Williams, INFB Health Plans manager, noted that if someone is considering shifting coverage from an employer or ACA plan to INFB Health Plans, they should remember that the application and decision process normally takes 30 days and should plan accordingly.
Both members and non-members can receive a quote at any time, but Williams noted that INFB membership is required prior to applying for coverage, and you must be a member for at least 30 days to apply for a traditional health plan or a dental/vision plan. You can, however, join and apply on the same day for a Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan.
For specific information about the plans, members also can visit the plans’ website, www.infbhealthplans.com; call 1-888-964-0854 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET; or call or walk into any county Farm Bureau office.
