Jeff Stookey of Milford, Ind., was presented the 30th Klussendorf-MacKenzie Award during World Dairy Expo 2021.
A seventh-generation dairyman, Stookey began working at a very young age on the family’s dairy farm with his father, John. Stookey also fitted cattle from 1977 to 1993. After his father suffered a heart attack in the early 1990s, Stookey returned to work full time on the family farm and continued developing his registered Holstein and Jersey herd.
This award is presented annually at the World Dairy Expo to the showman who most exemplifies the ability, character, friendliness and sportsmanship practiced by Arthur D. Klussendorf. It also serves as a memorial to Duncan MacKenzie, the 1961 Klussendorf winner.
