To limit health risks to members and staff, Indiana Farm Bureau will offer virtual rather than in-person meetings through the first quarter of 2021.
“With the number of COVID-19 cases continuing to rise in the state, this just seems like the best way to protect people,” said Mark Sigler, INFB chief operating officer. The exception is if there is an essential task that cannot be done virtually.
Since the pandemic started, INFB and county Farm Bureaus have conducted virtual events, and members have adapted well, Sigler said. Workshops, board and staff meetings, the delegate session and the convention have been held virtually.
“We are continuing to monitor the situation with the virus and will make adjustments if needed,” Sigler said. He added that although members have proven to be very adaptable, he is looking forward to the time when Farm Bureau members can again meet face to face.
