Offering health care plans is a new initiative for Indiana Farm Bureau, and to help deliver these products to members, INFB has hired a designated manager to oversee this new program.
Patrick Williams started Aug. 5 as health plans manager, and in this role, he oversees Indiana Farm Bureau Health Plans, including development, training and execution of the plans once they’re available.
A new member benefit, Indiana Farm Bureau Health Plans will launch in October and include a package of health care coverage options for members, including individual and family health coverage plans, Medicare Supplement plans and dental/vision coverage. The plans will address a significant need in the Indiana agriculture community.
“Having a designated manager to oversee the development and execution of the plans will help us ensure we’re meeting our members’ needs in this new area,” said INFB President Randy Kron.
lliams will build stakeholder relationships, support internal distribution channels and increase awareness of the plans.
Prior to joining INFB, Williams was a multi-state licensed agency owner with Farmers Insurance Group. As a top producer in personal and commercial lines insurance, he enjoyed a successful 10-year career before selling his agency in June 2020. At Farmers Insurance, his accomplishments included being named balanced agent of the year and two-time commercial agent of the year. Williams holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. He currently resides in Indianapolis.
“The INFB Health Plans were made possible by the incredible grassroots network of our membership and effort by the Farm Bureau team,” Williams said. “Successfully launching this health program will take a strong effort by everyone to ensure our current and new members are made aware and can take advantage of this incredible opportunity.”
