Engaging in the political process is an important way for INFB members to ensure voices in agriculture and rural Indiana are heard. That’s why Indiana Farm Bureau’s iFARMiVOTE campaign initiative is an integral piece of the organization’s success at the local, state and national level.
The iFARMiVOTE campaign initiative will encourage farmers and rural residents to vote in this year’s election and show their support for the candidates who best represent agriculture’s interests.
The 2020 iFARMiVOTE campaign kicked off in May, just before the June 2 primary, with a focus on social media. Indiana Farm Bureau shared photos of members with their iFARMiVOTE yard signs. With just four posts, INFB was able to reach 26,626 people on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
“Between now and Election Day on Nov. 3, INFB will continue to push for civic engagement by members at the grassroots level,” said Katrina Hall, INFB’s director of public policy. “It’s important for agriculture’s voice to be heard at the ballot box this fall because agriculture’s future depends on the election of ag-friendly candidates.”
iFARMiVOTE signs are available for $20 each, with proceeds going to INFB’s political action committee, AgELECT. If you have any questions, want to get involved or want to purchase a sign, reach out to your regional manager. Contact information for all of INFB’s regional managers can be found in the staff section of INFB’s website.
