Registration is now open for the Indiana Ag Law Foundation’s popular seminar “Estate and Succession Planning for the Family Farm.”
The day-long seminar will be held July 30 at INFB’s headquarters, located at 225 S. East St., Indianapolis. Registration will be accepted through July 23 or until the event is filled.
The purpose of the program is to give farm families as well as attorneys a better understanding of the importance of estate and succession planning. The event will count as legal education credits for attorneys who attend, and the cost is $35 per person for non-attorneys or $60 per attorney.
“Estate and succession planning impacts every farm in the state,” said John Shoup, director of the foundation. “We have assembled a quality program that will help attendees better understand the practical aspects of estate planning for a family farm, problems to avoid and how family dynamics and communication impact the planning and transition process.”
