(Fort Wayne, Ind.) – Dec. 16, 2023 – Delegates at Indiana Farm Bureau’s 2023 Annual Meeting elected Janis Highley of Huntington County as INFB’s 2nd vice president. Highley ran against Margaret Gladden of Hendricks County and Cindy Ramsey of Shelby County. She will replace outgoing 2nd Vice President Isabella Chism.

Highley has served as the District 4 education and outreach coordinator for INFB since 2018, where she represents members in Adams, Blackford, Grant, Howard, Huntington, Jay, Miami, Tipton, Wabash and Wells counties.

In her acceptance speech, Highley said she has a passion for advocating and looks forward to serving members of INFB in her new role.

“As 2nd vice president, I envision a Farm Bureau that embraces its legacy,” said Highley. “I want to ensure that every member finds their place, and with my commitment, experience and vision, we can build a better future.”

Highley graduated from Huntington University with a degree in business management. She is currently employed at Strategic Grain Hedge, LLC as a grain analyst assistant where she helps farmers and agribusinesses protect their bottom line through grain sales and hedges on the Chicago Board of Trade. Highley also enjoys helping her husband, Larry, with the family farm and construction company. They have two grown children.
