20 Candidates Endorsed by Indiana Farm Bureau AgELECT PAC Win Primaries

Following the May 3 primary election, 20 candidates out of the 23 who were endorsed by Indiana Farm Bureau AgELECT won their races.

(Indianapolis) – May 4, 2022 – Following the May 3 primary election, 20 candidates out of the 23 who were endorsed by Indiana Farm Bureau AgELECT, the organization’s state-level, nonpartisan political action committee, have won their races.

Below is a list of INFB AgELECT-endorsed candidates who won their primary:

  • Spencer R. Deery (R) for Senate District 23
  • Jeff Raatz (R) for Senate District 27
  • Andrea Hunley (D) for Senate District 46
  • Mike Aylesworth (R) for House District 11
  • Kendell Culp (R) for House District 16
  • Jim Pressel (R) for House District 20
  • Tim Wesco (R) for House District 21
  • Jeff Thompson (R) for House District 28
  • Ann Vermilion (R) for House District 31
  • John (J.D.) Prescott (R) for House District 33
  • Benjamin Smaltz (R) for House District 52
  • Robert Cherry (R) for House District 53
  • Bradford Barrett (R) for House District 56
  • Craig Haggard (R) for House District 57
  • Peggy Mayfield (R) for House District 60
  • Rita A. Fleming (D) for House District 71

With the primary election complete, focus now turns to getting candidates who support agriculture and the future of Indiana’s rural communities elected in the general election on November 8.
