Indiana Farm Bureau AgELECT PAC Endorses 23 Candidates

Indiana Farm Bureau AgELECT, the organization’s state-level, nonpartisan political action committee, has endorsed 23 candidates running for Statehouse seats in the 2022 primary election.

(Indianapolis) – March 24, 2022 – Indiana Farm Bureau AgELECT, the organization’s state-level, nonpartisan political action committee, has endorsed 23 candidates running for Statehouse seats in the 2022 primary election.

“At the state level, many legislative decisions are made each year that can impact Hoosier farmers and the agriculture industry as a whole,” said Randy Kron, INFB president. “The goal of AgELECT is to support ag-friendly candidates running for elected office, and these endorsements recognize those individuals who are willing to listen and advocate on behalf of Indiana’s agricultural and rural communities”. 

INFB AgELECT endorsed the following candidates:

  • Spencer R. Deery (R) for Senate District 23
  • Jeff Raatz (R) for Senate District 27
  • Andrea Hunley (D) for Senate District 46
  • Kevin Boehnlein (R) for Senate District 47
  • Mike Aylesworth (R) for House District 11
  • Kendell Culp (R) for House District 16
  • Jim Pressel (R) for House District 20
  • Tim Wesco (R) for House District 21
  • Kent Abernathy (R) for House District 25
  • Jeff Thompson (R) for House District 28
  • Ann Vermilion (R) for House District 31
  • John (J.D.) Prescott (R) for House District 33
  • John Young (R) for House District 47
  • Benjamin Smaltz (R) for House District 52
  • Robert Cherry (R) for House District 53
  • Bradford Barrett (R) for House District 56

AgELECT endorsements are made through a multi-step process, starting with recommendations from INFB members who live in the district. This format stays true to the grassroots nature of the organization. AgELECT’s endorsements are recognition of candidates’ support of policies that will foster a positive environment for agriculture and rural communities across the state.
