(INDIANAPOLIS) – May 8, 2025 – After 38 years of dedicated service to Indiana Farm Bureau (INFB), Chief Operating Officer and Treasurer Mark Sigler has made plans to retire, effective Sept. 1, 2025. Sigler has been a guiding force in shaping INFB’s internal operations and fiscal responsibility, leaving a legacy of steady leadership and deep commitment to Indiana agriculture.

“Mark’s decades of service have helped build the strong foundation our organization stands on today,” said Randy Kron, INFB president. “We are grateful for his leadership and the lasting impact he has had on our mission and members.”

The INFB board of directors voted to appoint Megan Ritter as the next chief operating officer, effective Sept. 1. To support a seamless transition, Ritter has assumed the interim role of chief administrative officer until she steps into the COO position on Sept. 1. Sigler will remain in the role of treasurer through the end of the year to assist with preparations for the 2026 budget.

Ritter brings nearly 15 years of experience with INFB, having served in key roles across public policy, strategy and executive leadership. Prior to her tenure in Indiana, she also worked at Farm Bureau organizations in Michigan and Iowa. Ritter is active on the AgriNovus Indiana board, Purdue University’s Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory advisory committee, and the Hancock County Community Foundation board. Her family raises sheep and pigs as part of their children’s 4-H and FFA involvement.

“Megan has been instrumental in advancing our strategic priorities and strengthening our internal operations,” said Kron. “She is deeply committed to Indiana agriculture and brings a strong combination of knowledge, experience and people-focused leadership into this role.”

Indiana Farm Bureau extends its deepest thanks to Mark Sigler for his decades of service and invites members, partners and staff to join in congratulating Megan Ritter as she steps into her new leadership role.
