Ag security conference offered in March

Indiana Farm Bureau will be hosting a new event on March 25 in Indianapolis: the Indiana Ag Threats & Security Summit.

The workshop will be presented in partnership with FBI Indianapolis, Beck’s Hybrids and Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.

Registration opens the first week of February. RSVPs are due by March 11.

The agenda is still being finalized, but among the topics to be discussed are:

  • The current threat landscape.
  • The importance of biosurveillance to law enforcement investigations.
  • Biosecurity threats.
  • Best practices on the farm, including two-factor authentication.
  • Drones.
  • Data breach and ransomware.

The event is free for INFB members and $50 for nonmembers. A maximum of 250 registrants can be accommodated at the meeting facility, which is at the Tallison Hotel in Indianapolis.

Among the confirmed speakers are Jim Love of Beck’s, Aaron Pierce of Pierce Aerospace and JoLee Hayes, senior vice president and chief information officer at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.
