Applications now being accepted for INFB grant programs

Feb 28, 2024, 11:22 AM by Kathleen M. Dutro, INFB Marketing Team

Individuals and county Farm Bureaus are eligible to apply for several grant programs offered by Indiana Farm Bureau.

The programs support a variety of topics that include ag promotion, education, youth activities, membership promotion, advertising, Young Farmers & Ag Professionals activities and community networking.

Ag Education and Promotion Development Grant – Deadline is 11:59 p.m. EDT, April 15. The purpose of the grant is to assist county Farm Bureaus or Farm Bureau members and educators who do not have adequate funds for a new program or activity, or to attend an event that enhances the promotion of agriculture and education. Examples of some of the projects that could be funded through this grant are books for classrooms, incubator systems and supplies for school gardens. Activities that might be funded include paid expenses to the National Ag in the Classroom Conference, AFBF Women’s Communication Boot Camp, summer educational programs or specialized educational conferences.

The deadline for the current grant cycle is April 15; the deadline for the second grant cycle is Oct. 15.

INFB Priority Grant Program – Application period closes Sept. 30. The program is available to assist county Farm Bureaus that do not have adequate funds to specifically address a critical issue, membership promotion, advertising, campaign or YF&AP/youth program or activity. County Farm Bureaus whose application is approved could receive grants of up to $1,500. Additional funds may be approved for a long or expensive campaign that addresses a critical issue affecting a single county and has the potential to be precedent-setting and spread to other counties.

INFB Community Grant Program – Application period closes Sept. 30. Community grants aid county Farm Bureaus that plan to host events to further education and networking within the diverse segments of agriculture. County Farm Bureaus whose application is approved could receive grants of up to $1,500.

Additional information and applications for all of these grants can be found at www.infb.org/scholarships.
