Faces of Farm Bureau: Introducing regional manager Korbin Smith

Nov 29, 2023, 11:03 AM by INFB Marketing Team

Korbin Smith has joined Indiana Farm Bureau’s field operations team as regional manager for Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fulton and Pulaski counties.

As a regional manager, Smith serves as the liaison between county Farm Bureaus and the state organization and assists the counties with leadership development, event planning and community outreach activities.

Smith has a bachelor’s degree in forestry from Purdue University’s College of Agriculture, and prior to coming to INFB, he worked in the forestry industry as a log yard manager for a small lumber and veneer mill and also helped with log procurement.

Smith was commissioned as an infantry officer in the Indiana Army National Guard through Purdue’s Army ROTC program, where he minored in military science and leadership.

He grew up in Decatur County where his family still owns a small amount of farmland. At that time, he worked for Stewart Seeds in Greensburg, Indiana, detasseling corn, removing rogues, helping with harvest, and assisting with miscellaneous jobs during the school year.

His hobbies include spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, kayaking and hiking, and he enjoys powerlifting and running. Another hobby is travel – Smith has visited 10 countries so far.
