Five college students are interning at Indiana Farm Bureau this summer. From left:

  • Jackson Daftari, public policy team. Daftari will be a senior at Purdue University, where he is studying agribusiness management, political science and crop science. His previous work experience includes a research internship at Beck’s Hybrids and an internship with Sen. Todd Young.
  • Will Deane, legal team. Deane is a third-year law student at Indiana University’s McKinney School of Law. He has a bachelor’s degree in brain and behavioral science from Purdue and worked as a COVID-19 contact tracer for the Indiana State Department of Health. He also interned with the Indiana Rural Health Association.
  • Alex Stange-Weig, legal team. Stange-Weig has completed her first year at Indiana University’s McKinney School of Law. She majored in global studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and her background also includes an internship at Pioneer Seeds in South Dakota.
  • Abby Stuckwisch, education and engagement team. Stuckwisch will start her sophomore year at Purdue this fall, where she is an agriculture education major. She will assist with the Ag in the Classroom summer activities, including programming and teaching at the Felege Hiywot Center and assisting with the AITC summer workshops. She was the Indiana FFA State Southern Region vice president for 2021-22.
  • Carson Kretzmeier, education and engagement team.
