Mental health workshops now accepting registrations

Mental health initiatives geared toward the ag community are available free of charge through the Indiana Rural Health Association. Titled Healthy Minds, Healthy Lives, these initiatives include community workshops and suicide prevention trainings.

The first of the regional community workshops has already been held, but others are planned:

  • Wednesday, Jan. 18 – Community Foundation of Jackson County, Seymour (8 to 11 a.m. EST).
  • Wednesday, Feb. 1 – Daviess Community Hospital Education Room #1, Washington, Indiana (10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
  • Wednesday, Feb. 15 – Fireman’s Building, Warsaw (8 to 11 a.m. EST).
  • Wednesday, Feb. 22 – Ivy Tech Community College, Logansport (10 a.m. to noon EST).

    For updates to these trainings or to check and see if additional trainings have been scheduled, visit the “Events” section of the IRHA’s website.

Virtual online suicide prevention trainings, titled Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. EST on Jan. 4, Feb. 8 and March 1. More on the QPR training also is available from IRHA’s website.
