INFB Health Plans can offer significant savings compared to non-subsidized plans

Jan 4, 2023, 13:55 PM by Kathleen M. Dutro, INFB Marketing Plan

It doesn’t matter if you are looking for a more cost-effective alternative to your Affordable Care Act or employer-provided health plan or are currently without a plan. Indiana Farm Bureau Health Plans are available to members throughout the year, and in many cases, the plans offered through INFB Health Plans are more affordable than the alternatives.

This is the premise behind the health plans’ current advertising campaign, a primarily digital campaign now in its third year.

“People get their first bills for their ACA health insurance plan in January or February, and in a lot of cases, they are shocked at the cost,” noted Debra DeCourcy, APR, INFB executive director of marketing.

“This advertising campaign is designed to let people know they have an alternative to the high-priced ACA plans,” DeCourcy added.

One of the benefits of a digital advertising campaign is that it’s possible to determine if an ad has impact on those who see it. In the case of INFB Health Plans, one measurement is how many people an ad drives to the website. By that measurement, the campaign has proven to be very effective.

“Sixty-five percent of the traffic coming to the INFB Health Plans’ website can be attributed to our advertising campaign,” DeCourcy said.

On average, a plan offered through INFB Health Plans can provide savings of 50% to 70% for families when compared to ACA plans that aren’t subsidized by the federal government. INFB Health Plans have more than 3,000 enrolled plans, which equates to more than 6,800 Hoosiers covered.
