YF&AP Conference to be held in Noblesville

Jan 5, 2022, 11:35 AM by Kathleen M. Dutro, INFB Marketing Team

Young farmers and ag professionals from across the state will gather in Noblesville on Jan. 28-29 for the Indiana Farm Bureau 2022 Young Farmers & Ag Professionals Conference.

The conference will be held at the Embassy Suites in Noblesville. It will feature keynote speakers, general sessions, breakouts and opportunities for networking and socializing.

It kicks off in the evening on Friday, Jan. 28, with a performance by My Yellow Rickshaw, an Indy-area pop, rock, bluegrass and R&B cover band.

The keynote speaker Saturday morning will be Devin Henderson ( www.devinhenderson.com), an award-winning comedian, magician and speaker.

Saturday also will include breakout sessions. Topics include:

  • INFB Health Plans.
  • How to create a business.
  • Nathanial Warenski, Indiana’s new state statistician, who will talk about what ag statistics mean and where the numbers come from.
  • Renewable/alternative energy.
  • Advocacy at a local level.
  • Rural viability.

Also planned are idea-sharing breakouts for YF&AP county chairs.

The YF&AP program is sponsoring a service project during this year’s conference: Kate's Kart, which provides books to brighten the day of hospitalized children. Attendees are encouraged to bring a book and donate it at the event.

Registration for the YF&AP Conference is required, but it’s free for members and $50 for non-members. To register, visit INFB’s website. Hotel rooms need to be booked by the attendees themselves, and the hotel block closes on Jan. 17.
