The newest member of Indiana Farm Bureau’s marketing team is Heidi Gant, who will serve as INFB’s public relations manager – public policy.
Gant began her role on Nov. 1. While she is a member of the marketing team, she also will work closely with the public policy team and the media to share INFB’s policy, advocacy and legislative initiatives. This includes providing strategic communications support for INFB’s legislative priorities, developing an annual communications plan and maintaining strong ties to Indiana’s political and ag reporters.
Gant is no stranger to the Statehouse. Prior to coming to INFB, she worked for the Indiana Non-Public Education Association (INPEA) as the director of communications and member relations. In this role, she worked with the organization’s lobbying team to support its education-focused advocacy efforts.
She also has worked at BLASTmedia and Bohlsen Group, two of Indianapolis’ leading public relations firms.
A summa cum laude graduate of the University of South Alabama, Gant majored in PR and communications. She is an Indiana native, having grown up in Franklin, and she currently resides in Greenwood.
Gant and her husband, Kyle, have been married for almost two years and they welcomed their first child, Poppy, in August.
