Chelsea Poe was promoted to the position of executive director of Indiana Farm Bureau’s education and engagement team on July 1.
he education and engagement team, formerly known as the organizational development team, oversees INFB’s outreach programs, such as Ag in the Classroom, Young Farmers & Ag Professionals, leadership development and youth programs.
Before her promotion, Poe had served for two years as INFB’s membership development manager. Prior to that, she served as INFB’s membership sales and marketing coordinator starting in 2015.
A native of Texas, Poe received a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science and a master’s degree in agricultural communications and journalism from Texas A&M University. She also is a graduate of the Indiana Ag Leadership Program.
She grew up raising cattle in central Texas. She and her husband, Kalen, are in the process of starting their own small show sheep operation. They live in Trafalgar, Indiana, with their son, Grayson.
