Faces of Farm Bureau: Summer interns helping INFB with special projects

Jul 6, 2021, 13:42 PM by Kathleen M. Dutro, INFB Marketing Team

Three interns have joined Indiana Farm Bureau for the summer to help with a variety of projects:

  • Dillon Muhlenkamp is interning with the education and engagement team (formerly organizational development) and has been working on the summer Agriculture in the Classroom workshops along with other AITC activities. He is from Bryant, Indiana, and is a student at Purdue University, where he is studying agricultural education.
  • Dianna Rulon is working with the legal team this summer after working with the Indiana Ag Law Foundation last summer. She will be looking into issues such as permitting programs, analyzing how recent court decisions and legislation on state and federal levels will impact the membership, and helping the legal team advocate for the Indiana agricultural community. She grew up on a family farm in Arcadia, Indiana, and is in her final year of law school at Indiana University’s McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, where she is studying environmental and agricultural law.
  • Kylie Schakel will start with INFB in July after her duties as Indiana FFA state secretary are complete. While she is with INFB, she will be focusing on youth programs and the Indiana State Fair. A native of Atlanta, Indiana, she will be attending Lincoln Land Community College to continue her academic and livestock judging career. Then, she will attend Kansas State University, where she will major in both ag communications and political science.
