Estate and Succession Planning for the Family Farm

Jul 6, 2021, 12:56 PM by INFB Marketing Team

INAgLaw will host the eighth installment of its program “Estate and Succession Planning for the Family Farm” on July 22 via Zoom.

The decision to once again present the program virtually was made because of uncertainties about restrictions for in-person attendance, but also because the virtual program was so popular in 2020, drawing up to 230 people during one of the three days it was offered.

The 2021 program will take place in one half day. The agenda includes:

  • “Preview of Coming Estate Tax Law Changes – How Might Changes Impact Your Farm Family?” – Gary Chapman, partner, Bose McKinney & Evans LLP.
  • “Protecting Your Family’s Inheritance from the Nursing Home” – Dan Gordon, partner, Gordon & Associates P.C.
  • “Farmers Live in Glass Houses – Tales of What Not To Do in Estate and Transition Planning” – Jeanne Bernick, partner, K•COE ISOM.

The event is open to anyone interested in understanding the importance of estate and succession planning to their business and walking away with valuable tips for getting started. Family farmers and attorneys are encouraged to attend.

There is no cost to attend this program, but registration for the event is required. Attendees may register at www.infb.org/events or www.INAgLaw.org through July 19. The program has been approved for three hours in CLE credits for attorneys.
