Safe Produce Indiana is an FDA grant-funded program that educates local produce growers on the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule.
Through Safe Produce Indiana, produce growers can attend safety workshops, get technical assistance from food safety experts at Purdue Extension and access documentation templates, water testing resources and regulation updates. The program, which is a partnership with Purdue University Extension, the Indiana State Department of Health and the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, also offers trainings that meet the requirements of the Produce Safety Rule.
Visit the Safe Produce Indiana website at SafeProduceIN.com to learn more about the food safety resources available to producers. For questions about Safe Produce Indiana or the Produce Safety Rule, contact Tari Gary at ISDA at 317-407-9802, or tgary@isda.in.gov.
