Popcorn Country: The Story of America’s Favorite Snack is Indiana Farm Bureau’s 2020 Book of the Year.
It’s written by Cris Peterson, a Wisconsin dairy farmer who is the author of 12 children’s books, and photographed by David R. Lundquist.
The book is available for $7.25/copy from the promotional items catalog located on INFB’s website. To find the catalog, log on to the “ Volunteer Center” and click on the “INFB Promotional Products Catalog” link.
Part of the Agriculture in the Classroom program, the BOTY is chosen by a group of Indiana Farm Bureau staff and professional educators. Through the program, volunteers visit classrooms and help kids understand how and where the food they eat is grown.
Educators wanting to incorporate the BOTY or other Ag in the Classroom activities into their curriculum can contact their county Farm Bureau or visit www.infb.org/INFBAgEd.
