AITC meetings to be held at five locations across the state

Jan 3, 2020, 10:11 AM by Kathleen M. Dutro, INFB Marketing Team

Outreach meetings will be held in January in five locations with the goal of helping current and future Agriculture in the Classroom volunteers learn more about the program and the resources available to them.

“Volunteer training is the heart of our agricultural literacy efforts,” said Lindi Kocher, INFB education coordinator. “The meetings will provide volunteers an opportunity to learn more about new resources to use for their 2020 events.”

Among the programs to be highlighted will be the 2020 INFB Book of the Year, Ag Day, Earth Day and INFB’s Ag Day toolkit. County education and outreach coordinators and AITC volunteers are encouraged to attend.

The locations and times of the meetings are:

  • Thursday, Jan. 23, 6-7:30 p.m. EST, Shelby County Farm Bureau, Shelbyville.
  • Monday, Jan. 27, 6-7:30 p.m. EST, Vigo County Farm Bureau, Terre Haute.
  • Tuesday, Jan. 28, 6-7:30 p.m. EST, Dubois County Farm Bureau, Jasper.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 29, 7-8:30 p.m. EST/6-7:30 p.m. CST, Jasper County Farm Bureau, Rensselaer.
  • Thursday, Jan. 30, 6-7:30 p.m. EST, Whitley County Farm Bureau, Columbia City.

For more information, contact Kocher, lkocher@infb.org or 317-692-7870.

“Our volunteers contribute passion, time, talent and treasures to the program. We must provide our ever-expanding army of volunteers the tools they need to keep working to showcase Indiana agriculture and keep agriculture literacy moving forward,” Kocher said.
