Indiana Farm Bureau is offering a two-day interactive campaign school for veteran office holders, first-time campaigners and anyone interested in how political and issue campaigns are organized and implemented.
Scheduled for Dec. 4 and 5 at the INFB headquarters in Indianapolis, attendees will receive hands-on instruction on messaging, media interviews, budgets, organization and strategy.
The seminar “offers a unique experience,” said Bob White, INFB’s national government relations director, who coordinates campaign school. It’s taught by instructors who have either run for public office or have worked on local, state or federal campaigns, he explained.
The fee to attend is $250 for Farm Bureau members and $300 for non-members. Campaign managers may accompany a candidate for an additional $150, and campaign spouses may attend for $100. This covers meals, breaks and materials. Attendees are responsible for their own lodging.
The seminar is limited to the first 30 people to sign up, including spouses and campaign managers. A maximum of three people per campaign team may attend. For more information, contact Dana Carter, INFB political engagement manager, 317- 692-7845, dcarter@infb.org.
Registration will soon be available through the “Events” section of INFB’s website.
