Every Farm Bureau member who attends this year’s convention will have an opportunity to become a permanent part of INFB’s 100th anniversary celebration.
On Dec. 12 and 13 (the first two days of the convention), members will be invited to go to a station that will be located within the convention area where a photographer will take their photo. Then, each member will place that photo inside a specially designed outline so that it becomes part of a photo mosaic.
“That photo, along with 1,200 to 1,300 others, will be put together to form a larger piece of art celebrating INFB’s 100th anniversary that will be displayed in INFB’s home office,” explained Debra DeCourcy, APR, INFB’s chief marketing director. “Each individual square will be added to create the final image.
“It’s a contemporary way for people to be part of a work of art that shows Farm Bureau through the people who are its members,” she said.
DeCourcy added that she hopes every member who comes to the convention participates.
“We want it to be as inclusive as possible to mark the anniversary of our 100th year,” she said.
Once the mosaic is complete, DeCourcy said INFB plans to make it available electronically to any participant who wants it.
More information on how to participate in the 100th anniversary mosaic project will be made available closer to the convention.
