2019 Indiana Agriculture in the Classroom Summer Workshop coming June 7th

AITC workshop-Compost Stew CoverIf you are an AITC volunteer or classroom teacher, you are encouraged to attend the 2019 Summer Professional Development Workshop on Friday, June 7, 2019, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at Indiana Farm Bureau Headquarters. Cost is $25 per person. (Tours and transportation are included in the registration fee.)
  • See and hear 2019 INFB Book of the Year Compost Stew illustrator Ashley Wollf via Skype.
  • Engage in hands-on activities that are easy, inexpensive and fit into almost any classroom curriculum.
  • Take home your own copy of Compost Stew.
  • Choose your own tour* from the following options when you register online.
    • Corteva AgriScience and Altum’s Garden Center.
    • Indianapolis Children’s Museum and Butler Center for Urban Ecology and Sustainability.
    • Felege Hiywot Center and Growing Places Indy.

A special message from Isabella Chism, chairman of the Women’s Leadership Committee: “Educating students about the importance of agriculture and how it impacts each and every one of us, every single day, has been the mission of INFB since its inception in 1919. It’s why the Agriculture in the Classroom program was created nearly 40 years ago. We are excited to bring the AITC summer workshop back to Indiana Farm Bureau headquarters in celebration of our 100th year serving Indiana farmers. You won’t want to miss it.”
