Scholarship applications due March 1

Feb 6, 2019, 13:59 PM by Kathleen M. Dutro, Marketing Team

Farm Bureau offers a variety of scholarships for members and their families, and the deadline for several of those scholarships is March 1.

For a full list of the available scholarships, along with their requirements and the application forms, visit the scholarship section of Indiana Farm Bureau’s website.

Indiana Farm Bureau and the Farm Bureau Foundation will award 13 district and state college scholarships to high school seniors and college students for the current school year. Scholarships are $1,000 each and may be applied to tuition, housing, books and other educational expenses. Payment will be made directly to the college or university of your choice.

All of the scholarships require applicants to be the child of an INFB member or be a student member and to remain so while the scholarship is in force. The scholarships being offered are:

  • Marion Stackhouse Memorial Scholarship (one to be awarded).
  • Carolyn Hegel Memorial Scholarships (one to be awarded in each of the 10 Farm Bureau districts). The applicant must either be a high school senior accepted in an approved/accredited college or university or be a full-time student attending an approved/accredited college or university. Additionally, applicants must be pursuing an agricultural or agribusiness degree.
  • INFB Collegiate Scholarship (two will be awarded). The applicant must be a high school senior accepted in an approved/accredited college or university or be a full-time student attending an approved/accredited college or university. They also must be a member of the Purdue University, Vincennes University or Huntington University Collegiate Farm Bureau chapters.

All application materials must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on March 1. For more information, send an email to awards.

Also available is a $500 enrichment scholarship to be awarded to one adult, 21 years or older, who wishes to enrich his or her career of choice through a workshop, seminar, credit or non-credit class or degree program. The application can be found at www.infb.org/scholarships. Applications must be emailed by March 3 to organizational development.

Many county Farm Bureaus and Farm Bureau districts also offer various scholarships. Information on these is available at scholarships.
