This year’s National Ag Day takes place March 14, and many county Farm Bureaus are already planning events and activities for the day.
The program, founded by the Agriculture Council of America, strives to create an understanding of agriculture among all ages. The theme this year is “Agriculture: Food for Life.”
INFB Second Vice President Isabella Chism chairs the Agriculture Council of America and oversees much of the National Ag Day planning.
“The whole cause of this is to build an awareness and an appreciation for agriculture. From birth to death, agriculture touches our lives every single moment of the day,” said Chism.
To help county Farm Bureaus plan and promote successful events, a county marketing toolkit focused on Ag Day released last year has been updated for 2019. It contains many Ag Day materials and resources including template press releases, social media posts, activity ideas and more.
To download the Ag Day materials, visit the County Marketing section of the Volunteer Center.
