Creating Indiana Farm Bureau’s new strategic plan, “2021 Strategic Plan: Defining Our Future,” took a lot of time and effort, including collecting input from the 500 members who attended strategic plan meetings and the 300 who responded to telephone surveys.
But now it’s time to start the process of implementing the changes recommended by the plan, and the County Recognition Program is part of that process.
“The activities of the CRP are directly aligned with the strategic planning results,” said Chris Fenner, INFB operations and event manager, who coordinates the CRP program.
Fenner noted that because it will take time to implement the entire plan, the organization will focus on three areas in 2017.
“We will focus on increasing voting membership by the end of the membership year, improving the overall member experience and improving the awareness of agriculture and INFB,” Fenner said.
For specifics about the County Recognition Program, interested members should talk to their regional managers, Fenner said. In addition, a video giving an overview of the strategic plan is now available on INFB’s website.
“Thank you to our volunteers for their patience with this year’s program and for all their efforts to improve the lives of our members and influence positive outcomes for agriculture and their communities,” Fenner concluded.
