INFB well represented at national conference

Mar 1, 2017, 16:34 PM by Allie Rieth, Organizational Development Team
Indiana Farm Bureau was well represented at the annual American Farm Bureau Federation FUSION conference. With more than 50 attendees from the State Young Farmer Committee, the Women's Leadership Committee and all three Collegiate Farm Bureau chapters, Indiana had one of the largest contingents, second only to Pennsylvania, the host state.

This year’s FUSION conference, sponsored by the American Farm Bureau Federation, was attended by more than 50 INFB members – the second largest group behind the host state.

Student members from all three Collegiate Farm Bureau chapters (Purdue, Vincennes and Huntington) as well as the State Young Farmer Committee and the Women’s Leadership Committee traveled to the national conference, which was held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

INFB’s collegiate Discussion Meet competitors represented Indiana well, with Aidan Groves from Purdue placing in the top 16 in the country.

Notable sessions educated members on business planning, internship prep, conflict resolution and more. Tours of Pennsylvania and Ohio agriculture and a trip to the Steeler’s home at Heinz Field capped off a memorable trip.
