Faces of Farm Bureau: Courtney Foster, event marketing coordinator

Jan 30, 2017, 08:00 AM by Kathleen M. Dutro, Marketing Team

Courtney Foster is more than a new face at Indiana Farm Bureau – her job also is a new one for the organization.
Portrait of Courtney FosterAs part of its effort to better serve the members and staff of INFB, the marketing team has added the position of event marketing coordinator, and Foster was hired for that role in December 2016.

“This position is new to the INFB marketing team,” Foster said. “My role consists of developing successful marketing plans for INFB events as well as designing the collateral pieces that support those events.” What this means, she explained, is that when a statewide or district-wide event or campaign is under consideration, the first person the organizer needs to talk to is Foster, who will help that person figure out how to promote it – for example, through The Hoosier Farmer, over social media, with a logo or brochure – in order to get the best exposure possible, both for the event and for Farm Bureau.

Foster came to Indiana Farm Bureau from Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, where she worked as a graphic specialist for nearly four years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer graphics technology from Purdue University School of Engineering and Technology (IUPUI).

“I want our members to know what Indiana Farm Bureau is up to and what we have to offer them through our events,” she said. “I am hoping my role can further support our team in marketing events with one voice that our members hear and understand.”
