The end is finally in sight for harvest in Illinois with
only 20% of corn and 8% of soybeans left in the ground.
The USDA reports just over three days were suitable for fieldwork
last week with the average statewide temperature at 26 degrees, nearly 15
degrees below normal.
As of Sunday, corn harvest reached 80% complete compared to 97%
on average. Soybean harvest is 92% complete, only six percentage points behind
average.
