Direct cash cattle markets are quiet. Asking prices are $110 live and $178 to $180 dressed. This week’s showlist looks mixed and widespread direct business isn’t expected until the second half of the week. The industry continues to monitor trade talks and the fallout of the fire at the Tyson plant in Kansas. New USDA U.S. and Canadian cattle and hog numbers are out this afternoon.
Boxed beef at midday was mixed with moderate movement.
